Piercing & Jewelry
No, we start out piercing kids lobes at 5 years old. Our goal is to make it a positive and uplifting experience for them! This starts with letting them decide when and making sure they understand the process.
We do not offer initial piercing with hoops (with a few exceptions) due to swelling and jewelry movement. Our goal is to help you heal as quickly as possible, which includes eliminating extra issues when we can. Most piercings can be swapped to a hoop around 6-9 months after initial piercing!
Our recommendation, no submerging any piercing while actively healing. Talk more with your piercer at the beginning of your appointment if this seems it may be an issue.
While traveling itself will not affect your healing- stress, change in climate/altitude, and irregular cleaning can absolutely affect your healing. Be sure to discuss any traveling concerns with your piercer during your appointment.
Schedule a check up as soon as possible! There is a major difference between a keloid and an irritation bump, we will refer you to a dermatologist if we suspect you are developing a true keloid.
If you are currently pregnant, we cannot pierce you. If you are chest feeding, we recommend waiting a minimum of 4 months before getting pierced. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to schedule a consultation or reference The Association of Professional Piercers recommendations.
While the answer is not a simple yes or no, this is something we recommend discussing with your doctor first. They will likely discuss a time frame for healing prior to the piercing and from there we can do a consultation to discuss your anatomy and jewelry options. Your health is always first priority!
We CANNOT pierce you with any jewelry from outside of the studio. Body art studios are regulated by their local Health Department. Health Departments require us to obtain Mill Certificates for all body jewelry that is being installed.
It is preferred that you have at least 2 piercings on the anatomy you are looking to style. At maximum we can only pierce 4 new piercings in one sitting. You can book a consultation ahead of time if you are unsure!
Yes! We work with many companies and are happy to custom order you the piece of your dreams. Due to demand and ordering, we do take a 50% deposit for any custom order and the remainder is due at pick up. Please note that once an order is placed we are awaiting it’s arrival. We will not be able to give updates aside from contacting you when it is officially at the studio. Some orders can take anywhere between 6+ months depending on the company and customization.
Studio & Appointment
Yes, we absolutely do. However appointments will always take priority, so scheduling ahead will guarantee we have time to dedicate to you, picking out jewelry, and help you avoid a long wait time.
It is recommended to have a meal and plenty of water within a few hours before your appointment. Proper hygiene practices are respectful to your piercer and can help to kickstart a fresh piercing into smooth healing.
Half styling is best for focusing on one ear at a time or anyone only looking to style their existing piercings. Full styling is best for anyone looking to style both ears/facial piercings at once or anyone looking to add new piercings within the style.
Our booking system allows for multiple services to be booked within the same appointment as long as time is available to do so. Otherwise you can also book back to back with the person you are planning to come in with.
We unfortunately are not offering online styling at this time. Styling is done best when based on your unique anatomy and to do so, we need to be able to look closely and clearly. This also helps us get to know our clients better to help build a styling that fits their personality and overall style.
There is street parking available on both sides of our street! And if you prefer a parking lot, there is pay to park lot located behind LilyPad and Ripple.
